Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya Haridwar Alumni Association (JNVHAA) ("we," "us," "our") respects your privacy and is committed to protecting the personal information you share with us.

When you register as a member, make a donation, pay for an event, or purchase merchandise through our website, we may collect:

• Postal address (for merchandise shipping or certificate delivery)

• Batch/year of passing (for alumni verification)

• Payment amount and transaction reference (we do not store card, UPI PIN, or bank credentials — these are handled directly by our payment gateway partner)

3. How We Use Your Information

• To process membership registration, donations, event fees, and merchandise orders

• To issue payment receipts and donation certificates

• To maintain records required for internal accounting and statutory audit

• To send updates about JNVHAA events, reunions, and initiatives

• To respond to queries and grievances

4. Data Sharing

We do not sell or rent your personal information. Data may be shared only with:

• Our payment gateway provider, solely to process transactions

• Statutory authorities, if required by law or during an audit

5. Data Retention

Transaction and membership records are retained as long as required for accounting, audit, and compliance purposes under applicable law.

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data (subject to statutory record-keeping requirements) by contacting us using the details below.

7. Tax Status of Donations

JNVHAA is not currently registered under Section 80G/12A of the Income Tax Act. Donations made to JNVHAA are not eligible for tax deduction at this time. We will update this policy if and when such registration is obtained.

Refund & Cancellation Policy

This policy applies to all payments made to JNVHAA through our website, including membership fees, donations, event registration fees, and merchandise purchases.

1. Membership Fees

• Refund requests must be made within 7 days of payment.

• Refunds will not be issued if membership benefits (e.g., voting rights, member ID) have already been availed.

2. Donations

• Donations are voluntary contributions and are generally non-refundable once processed, except in case of a duplicate or erroneous transaction, which will be verified and refunded within a reasonable timeframe.

3. Event Registration Fees

• Cancellations made at least 3 days before the event date are eligible for a refund.

• Cancellations made within 3 days of the event are non-refundable, as arrangements (venue, catering, materials) are finalized in advance.

4. Merchandise (T-shirts, Memorabilia, etc.)

• Before Dispatch: Orders can be cancelled for a full refund any time before the item has been shipped.

• After Dispatch: Once shipped, orders can only be returned if the item arrives damaged, defective, or does not match the item ordered. Please contact us within 7 days of delivery with photographic evidence.

• Customised Items: Merchandise that is personalised or customised to your specification is non-returnable and non-refundable, except in case of manufacturing defect.

• Shipping: Shipping timelines depend on courier partners and destination; JNVHAA is not liable for delays caused by courier services once an item is dispatched.

5. Refund Processing

Approved refunds will be processed to the original mode of payment within 7–10 business days.

6. How to Request a Refund

Email info@jnvhalumni.org with your transaction reference number, the reason for the request, and your registered contact details.

Terms & Conditions

1. About JNVHAA

JNVHAA is a registered non-profit society (Registration No. UK0680812026015640) formed to foster community among alumni of JNV Haridwar and to support educational, social, and welfare initiatives for its members and the alma mater.

2. Use of This Website

By using this website and making payments through it, you agree to these Terms & Conditions along with our Privacy Policy and Refund & Cancellation Policy.

3. Membership

Membership categories, fees, and eligibility are governed by JNVHAA's Bylaws (Niyamavali). Submitting payment does not guarantee membership approval; membership is subject to verification by the Executive Committee.

4. Payments

All payments (membership, donation, event fees, merchandise) are processed through our authorised payment gateway partner. JNVHAA does not store your card or banking credentials.

5. Receipts & Certificates

A payment receipt or donation certificate will be issued electronically to the email address provided at the time of payment.

6. No Political or Trade Activity

In line with our society registration, JNVHAA does not engage in political or trade-union activity, and funds are used solely for the charitable objects stated in our Memorandum of Association.

7. Limitation of Liability

JNVHAA makes reasonable efforts to ensure accurate information on this website but is not liable for any indirect loss arising from its use, technical errors, or third-party payment gateway issues.

8. Governing Law & Jurisdiction

These terms are governed by the laws of India, with disputes subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts at Haridwar, Uttarakhand.

9. Changes to These Terms

JNVHAA may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the website constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
